Materials for HEALING
Here at SPIRIT HEALERS, we believe that healing is both a personal, as well as an interactive journey. We have found that one must feel safe to engage in their own process, which begins within, and is further encouraged with the proper tools, services, and support team.
MUSIC
Music has been used as a healing tool for centuries, and the powerful impact it holds* cannot be spoken on enough. We have witnessed the art of music working through numerous individuals, regardless of age or background. Music offers the unique gift of self expression, while also building a platform of opportunity to harmonize with others. Music is its own language; one that can be utilized when words fail.* Music is a universal tool, and an invaluable investment in anyone’s life.
ART
Art is unique in that it is always a place for freedom to be authentically expressed. Art has been proven to be incredibly effective in healing trauma, both individually and generationally.* Many of the communities we have worked with were escaping hardship, and forced to leave behind everything that was familiar, in order to find safety. Art is a direct pathway to one’s self, to a place free of judgement and any external input. Art is individual, it is personal, and is innately infinite. There is no limitation to what one can do with a paintbrush on blank canvas, or a crayon on a piece of paper. There are no rules in art; no right or wrong way to express. At Spirit Healers we have watched a quiet child take a marker and begin to tell their story through colorful lines, as their voice found itself through artistic expression.
Acupuncture & Massage
Spirit Healers is composed of various Eastern Medicine Doctors and licensed holistic professionals, who believe in the power of touch in facilitating deep healing. Our team has created transformative healing opportunities through community acupuncture and massage circles. The intention behind this action is to foster a safe space for members of the community to come together, and release their trauma in a collective manner. Studies* have shown that treating families together have increased the rate and depth of healing felt among individuals. Our team works to collaborate with the needs of the collective, while simultaneously taking time to focus on every individual. Our perspective is not unique, and has been proven to have profound results among Spirit Healers volunteers and those we serve.
We are always accepting MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS and ART/CRAFTING donations to share with the communities we serve, as well as massage & acupuncture supplies.
